Why Your Website Isn’t Converting — And How to Fix It

– Why should they care?

The fix: Make your headline and hero section crystal clear. Tell visitors exactly how you help them.
Bad: “Innovative solutions for tomorrow.”
Good: “We Help Singapore Dentists Get 30% More Bookings with Smarter Marketing.”


2. You’re Attracting the Wrong Traffic

The problem: If your SEO or Google Ads are targeting broad or mismatched keywords, you might be getting visitors who were never going to convert.

The fix: Review your traffic sources. Are people coming with intent? Fix your targeting to match your ideal customer — not just the highest-volume keywords.


3. There’s No Strong Call to Action (CTA)

The problem: You’re not telling visitors what to do next. Or you’re overwhelming them with too many options.

The fix: Every page should have one primary goal — and a bold, benefit-led CTA to match.
Examples:

  • “Claim Your Free Website Audit”

  • “Book Your Consultation Now”
    Avoid weak CTAs like “Learn More” or “Submit.”


4. You’re Not Building Trust

The problem: People don’t buy from businesses they don’t trust — especially online.

The fix: Add social proof. This could be:

  • Reviews and testimonials

  • Logos of past clients

  • Case studies

  • Certifications or awards

  • Photos of your team (real ones, not stock)

Trust signals can dramatically increase conversion rates.


5. It’s Not Mobile-Friendly

The problem: If your website is clunky or broken on mobile, you’re losing over half your potential customers — especially in mobile-first Singapore.

The fix: Use a responsive design. Test your site on different devices. Ensure CTAs are big enough to tap and forms are easy to complete on a phone.


6. It Loads Too Slowly

The problem: Every second of load time kills conversions. A slow site = a bouncer’s paradise.

The fix: Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix to identify and fix speed issues. Common culprits: oversized images, bloated scripts, poor hosting.


7. You’re Not Handling Objections

The problem: Visitors have questions and doubts — and your site doesn’t address them.

The fix: Add an FAQ section, use persuasive copy, and answer objections head-on.
For example:

  • “What if I’m not ready to commit?” → “Try our free audit with zero obligation.”

  • “Is this service right for me?” → “We specialise in helping Singapore SMEs and startups.”


8. Your Forms Are Too Long (or Confusing)

The problem: Asking for too much too soon can scare people away.

The fix: Keep forms short and sweet. Just name, email, and one key question is usually enough to start the conversation. You can always collect more info later.


9. It Feels… Generic

The problem: Your website looks and sounds like every other competitor — bland, forgettable, and easily skipped.

The fix: Inject personality and clarity into your copy and design. Speak in your audience’s language. And most importantly, be clear about why you’re different.


10. You’re Not Measuring or Testing

The problem: You’re flying blind — no data, no optimisation, no insight into what’s working.

The fix: Use tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity to track behaviour. Test different headlines, CTA placements, images, or offers. Small tweaks can lead to big gains.
